LOWELL, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/01/09 -- Brian Zanghi, the President and CEO of Kadient, has been named a finalist for the 2009 Mass Technology Leadership Council's CEO of the Year Award.
Since joining the company in 2004, Zanghi successfully led the transformation of Kadient from a premise-based software company to a leading provider of SaaS (Software as a Service). His vision to transform Kadient brought the company from offering an application that addressed one specific pain point, proposal creation, to a full sales enablement platform that provides value to all parts of a sales and marketing organization. As a part of this transformation, Zanghi also moved the Kadient headquarters from New Hampshire to Massachusetts in February of 2009.
Zanghi is frequently invited to share the lessons learned during Kadient's transformation with executive audiences, and has spoken at events organized by sandhill.com, MIT, MassTLC, Software 2008, IDC, SIIA, and Softletter.
"Brian Zanghi's success in rebranding Kadient and moving the company's offering from premise to SaaS while maintaining high renewal rates, retention of legacy customers, and all with a very limited cash burn, is impressive. These factors and Brian's decision to move the company headquarters from New Hampshire to Massachusetts in early 2009 made Brian a clear finalist for the Mass Technology Leadership 2009 CEO of the Year Award," said Tom Hopcroft, president and CEO of the Mass Technology Leadership Council.
Prior to joining Kadient, Zanghi was the Chief Operating Officer of SPSS, Inc., a $200 million publicly traded software company. He was formerly Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations at eRoom Technology (acquired by Documentum), an early leader in web-based collaboration and hosted document management software. Zanghi was also President of PC Docs, where he was instrumental in that company's high-growth phase from $8 million to $80 million and beyond.
"I'm incredibly honored to be chosen as a finalist for CEO of the Year Award. Certainly my success at Kadient is due, in part, to the team of fine employees here who give their talent and skills to aid the growth of our company," said Zanghi.
