Celko, DMD, MBA, as Vice President of Product Development. In his new capacity, Dr. Celko will oversee the development and enhancement of new and existing P&R products to further address the needs of P&R clients, i.e., Claim Review Management System (CRMS), DentSource, SIU Fraud and Abuse unit, etc. CRMS, P&R's automated dental review system, gives dental consultants a streamlined way to manage the claim review process. DentSource provides extensive data analysis for dental fraud and abuse detection, customization of claim review referral guidelines, network development, actuarial statistics and management oversight.
Dr. Celko brings considerable knowledge and experience to the dental claim review process. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine and completed his General Practice Dental Residency at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He received his MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his private practice of general dentistry, he was also a part time Clinical Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine for four years. Prior to joining P&R, Dr. Celko worked at Aetna for 11 years and left as their National Dental Director of Utilization Management. He is a Certified Dental Consultant and former president of the American Association of Dental Consultants. He was the corporate liaison to many professional associations including the American Dental Association Standards Committee on Dental Informatics, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Academy of Periodontology, among others. He is a veteran lecturer for the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association (NHCAA) and has lectured nationally on dental fraud. In addition to numerous volunteer efforts, he serves on the Oral Health America Gala Committee.
In advance of implementation of the Federal Stimulus package and the anticipated and upcoming governmental intervention regarding healthcare, P&R has again taken a lead in addressing the needs of the industry.
