Aerius Wins Frost & Sullivan 2009 Green Technology Award for Wireless Technologies

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/06/09 -- World renowned research and consulting company Frost & Sullivan has awarded Aerius International its 2009 green technology award in recognition of Aerius' development of a breakthrough cell phone antenna technology that increases battery life 2 to 4 hours, increases handset coverage areas significantly and reduces dropped calls.

The award also cited: "By allowing cell sites to work efficiently by using up to 50% less power, when widely deployed Aerius technology has the potential to reduce cell site CO2 emission up to 1.2 million tons per year just in the United States."

Other winners of Frost & Sullivan 2009 awards include Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Hughes Network Systems, Sun Microsystems, and other innovative companies worldwide.

Accepting the award in Phoenix, Arizona, was Aerius CEO Bill Luxon and Aerius CTO Greg Johnson. "This award from Frost & Sullivan is a great honor," said both Luxon and Johnson. "Aerius 3G smart phones and additional Aerius phones made by major manufacturers will be available in the 4th quarter of 2009," added Luxon.
