MIAMI, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Miami Media LLC, the owner of Latin Trade magazine, LatinTrade.com and the BRAVO Business Awards, has acquired Latin Business Chronicle, an online journal specializing in Latin American business news.

Subscribers include: Microsoft, Chevron, Scotiabank, Federal Express, Accenture, Maersk Line, Mastercard, MTV Networks, SAP, White & Case, Skadden, Arps and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India.

"This acquisition marks an important milestone for our readers and marketing clients," said Miami Media chairman Richard Burns. "No other company can provide the breadth or depth of our multimedia offering of print, online and live events for professionals doing business in the hemisphere."

"This is a fantastic opportunity for Latin Business Chronicle, which will now benefit from additional resources provided by Miami Media and its assets, especially Latin Trade," said Joachim Bamrud, editor-in-chief and founder of Latin Business Chronicle, who will continue in the same capacity at the new company. "Thanks to our new home, we expect to achieve even greater editorial quality and commercial success."

Latin Business Chronicle has been quoted by such media as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times and publishes in-depth reports and annual rankings such as Latin America's 100 Most Powerful Businesspeople and Top 100 Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as the closely followed and unique LBC Indexes - a measure of the absolute and relative success of Latin American countries in the fields of: Business Climate; Technology; Security; and Globalization.

Miami Media LLC owns Latin Trade magazine, the BRAVO Business Awards, the Bravo Council Series, Latin Trade's CFO Forums and CMO Forums, LatinTrade Online and LT Hospitality Media which is led by SPLENDID, the in-room magazine for IHG (InterContinental Hotel Group) Latin America & the Caribbean.
