ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stanley, Inc. (NYSE: SXE), a leading provider of systems integration and professional services to the U.S. federal government, today announced that it was awarded a five-year, time-and-materials contract valued at $12.6 million, with exercise of options, by the United States Marshals Service to support the development and deployment of the Marshals' Justice Detainee Information System (JDIS). This contract was included in Stanley's discussion of awards to date in the third quarter of fiscal year 2010 during the company's earnings call held on October 29, 2009.

Under the award, Stanley will develop enhancements for new and existing JDIS modules, deploy scheduled maintenance releases to the JDIS application, maintain the JDIS database and server hardware, convert the JDIS database management system from Informix to Oracle, and migrate users at more than 90 district offices across the United States to the centralized JDIS platform. Stanley has supported the United States Marshals Service since 2003. The work will take place in Arlington, Va.
