PHILLIPSBURG, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 11/19/09 -- INFINITT North America, a technology leader in web-based image and information management solutions, today announced the release of the INFINITTAccent, an OEM PACS offering for EMR, HIS, and Practice Management vendors. The deployment of this new technology enables healthcare providers to access all types of medical images generated from any department within the patient record or vendor information system.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway (RWJUHR), a 265-bed acute care hospital in New Jersey, had an Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager System that managed patient data and an INFINITT radiology PACS that managed medical images. They recently deployed the INFINITTAccent product, enabling users to launch the PACS and view images associated with a patient's ID from within the medical record system.
The INFINITTAccent module provides access to the full range of archived images through a Web-browser, as distinguished from vendor offerings which only provide access to Radiology images. The ability to view EKGs, as well as lab, oncology, and other non-DICOM images will have a significant impact on workflow efficiencies. By supporting information sharing and interoperability initiatives, hospitals are better qualified for ARRA stimulus dollars.
