ORLANDO, Fla. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tungle, the company that has simplified the scheduling of meetings for millions of users worldwide, today demonstrated at IBM’s Lotusphere conference a version of its free Tungle offering for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino, rounding out its integration with all leading business calendar systems.
The announcement is significant since, according to IBM, more than half of the Fortune global 100 now use Lotus Notes and Domino. This includes more than 80 percent of the largest banks, consumer product, electronics, insurance, pharmaceutical and telecommunications companies -- as well as more than 50 percent of America's largest 100 companies.
The addition of Lotus Notes means that Tungle now works with all major business- and consumer-oriented electronic calendar environments, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple iCal and Entourage for Mac.
Tungle for Lotus Notes was announced by Kevin Cavanaugh, Vice President, Messaging and Collaboration Products at IBM, during the IBM keynote on stage Monday at Lotusphere 2010. The product is also being demoed by Cavanaugh during his presentation on Tuesday, January 19th. Tungle is demoing the new product at booth #221.
Tungle gives professionals the control and flexibility to propose multiple times in meeting invitations, establish a personal scheduling page, invite others to book meetings with them and share calendars across companies, platforms and time zones, without giving up their existing calendars. As a result, users report spending significantly less time and effort setting up meetings. User feedback shows that an average Tungle user will save approximately 15 minutes every time they use the service to set up a meeting. Tungle for the iPhone allows users to create, send and receive meeting invitations and share calendars wherever they go, with valuable functionality, such as auto-suggest scheduling and at-a-glance availability.
