VAI Strengthens Team with Addition of Senior Program Analyst

RONKONKOMA, N.Y. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- VAI (Vormittag Associates, Inc.) announced today the hiring of senior program analyst Phil Mercadante. A dedicated worker with expertise in the IBM Power™ Systems platform, Mercadante will serve as a senior program analyst working with VAI’s S2K Enterprise software. VAI is a leader in enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for the distribution, manufacturing, retail and service industries, and an IBM Premier Business Partner.

As a senior program analyst, Mercadante will oversee the design and implementation of new features to the S2K ERP software suite. Mercadante joins VAI after 18 years as the director of systems development at E-Z-EM, Inc., in Lake Success, N.Y. There, he regularly developed and maintained IBM business applications. Mercadante also supervised the efforts of other programmers and ensured successful implementations. Additionally, Mercadante spent 11 years as an independent technical consultant, creating automated applications specifically tailored to the IBM Power Systems platform.
