Prior to Freescale, Buehring served as vice president and general manager of the Power Amplifier Division at Skyworks Solutions, and before that held the same position at Conexant Systems.

Buehring started his career at Rockwell International in 1983, and held positions of increasing responsibility spanning key marketing and engineering roles. In 1995 Buehring was named Rockwell’s Engineer of the Year for his contribution to the development of GaAs HBT power amplifiers.
