STG Names James E. Felter as SVP, Defense Sector

RESTON, Va. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- STG, Inc. (STG) has named industry veteran James Felter as Senior Vice President, Defense Sector. In this position, Mr. Felter will be responsible for the operation and oversight of approximately 800 STG Defense Sector employees and more than $150 million in annual revenue.

STG’s Defense Sector provides performance-based support for warfighter systems and IT operations for the Department of Defense (DoD), including enterprise network and server operations, cyber defense, weapons systems development, software and application development, enterprise architecture, Web design, business process reengineering, test and evaluation support, systems engineering and integration, enterprise help desk operations, linguistics and financial management.

Before joining STG, Mr. Felter served as Director, Battle Command Applications, at Northrop Grumman, where he oversaw more than 600 Northrop Grumman and subcontractor personnel with annual revenue in excess of $130 million. He has also served as Vice President for Programs at TELOS, Director of Business Development and Operations Manager at CSC and Army Operations Branch Manager at UNISYS.

Mr. Felter is a distinguished 23-year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in various command and staff assignments throughout the United States, Korea, Germany and Vietnam. He holds an MBA in Management/Computer Science and Information Systems from Pittsburg State University and a BA in Math and Statistics from the University of West Florida.
