Cisco outlines the future of events in a whitepaper titled "Cisco's Experience with Next-Generation Events," which describes how Cisco developed the "Collaboration for Events" offering based on their use of related technologies to enhance their own events. The Cisco "Strategic Event Management Framework" categorizes different event types using two dimensions: Audience Type and Complexity.
