Diverse Roster of IT Industry Experts Will Lead CompTIA Community Executive Board in 2012

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Leaders from across the full span of the information technology (IT) industry channel have been elected to the CompTIA Community Executive Board for 2012, the non-profit association for the IT industry announced today.

The CompTIA Community Executive Board brings together senior leadership from CompTIA member communities to advise and guide the association on new directions and projects.

“In an industry as diverse as information technology, garnering support for new initiatives and encouraging greater industry participation requires leaders with high degrees of esteem and respect from their peers,” said Nancy Hammervik, senior vice president, industry relations, CompTIA.

“These traits are evident in each member of the executive board,” Hammervik continued. “These individuals understand market issues, vendor opportunities and what’s needed to help technology solution providers hone their business skills and proficiencies.”

Four new industry leaders join the CompTIA Community Executive Board for 2012.

  • Lisa Wright-Finnegan is the business partner warranty service manager for IBM Canada Ltd., one of the largest technology, services and consulting organizations in Canada.
  • Dale Johnson is the president and chief executive officer of the Technology Assurance Group, an international association of leading unified communications providers.
  • Jay McBain is an advisor for ChannelEyes, an IT channel-centric social media network.
  • Mike Schuler is the executive vice president of sales and marketing for Product Support Services Inc., specialists in electronics repair and refurbishment.

Individuals continuing to serve on the CompTIA Community Executive Board in 2012 include Michael Proper, Clear Center; Mike Semel, Business Continuity Technologies; Jeff Priestman, CompuCom Canada; Susan Krautbauer, Jabil Global Services; Jacob Braun, Waka Digital Media Corp.; Greg VanDeWalker, Great American Leasing; Frank Picarello, CMIT Solutions Inc.; Pam Avila, Sierra Summit Group; Richard Tubb, independent IT consultant; Chris Johnson, Untangled Solutions; Charlie O’Shaughnessy, Intel Ireland Ltd.; and Sandy Ashworth, Unisys Corp.
