Z-Wave Alliance Exhibits New Cutting-Edge Home Automation Products at CES 2012

LAS VEGAS -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- CES Booth #20800 – The Z-Wave Alliance ushers in 2012 with the release of several new home control and automation products from its members. At CES 2012, members of the Z-Wave Alliance will be demonstrating a number of new products and solutions for wireless home control solutions, including:

• Home energy management – Several Alliance members will launch new home energy management products at CES 2012. Somfy will debut a number of new features within TaHomA®, its Z-Wave certified home automation solution. TaHomA enables users to control natural/artificial lighting and heating/cooling according to a user’s personal preferences and energy management settings. Remotec will also be debuting several new Z-Wave certified controllers while MiOS and Echo Labs will launch a turnkey meter solution, both for home energy management.
• Home security – New offerings in home security will also be highlighted at the Z-Wave Alliance booth. Schlage will re-launch its Z-Wave certified Schlage LiNK™ system and expand as Nexia™ Home Intelligence. Nexia enables consumers to remotely manage features and functions of their home including door locks, video surveillance, lights, and shades via the Web or smartphone. Additionally, Poly-Control is introducing the new Poly-Lock, the first Z-Wave controlled door lock that can be mounted on almost any existing door lock globally.
• Hospitality and healthcare – Two burgeoning areas in the home automation market are hospitality and home healthcare, and Z-Wave Alliance members will be showcasing offerings for both. Evolve Guest Controls will debut several new products for the hospitality industry, including new thermostats and infrared motion sensors. Additionally, MiOS will announce their partnership with “Aging in Place” innovator Nonnatech, which will give users the ability to easily monitor their aging family members, allowing them to live at home longer.
• Z-Wave Alliance Interoperability Wall – Products from various Z-Wave Alliance members will be on display demonstrating how all Z-Wave certified products work together for total home control.

Additionally, the Z-Wave Alliance booth at CES will feature products and solutions from 25 members including: 2Gig, Actiontec, Aeon Labs, Baldwin, Black & Decker (Kwikset), Echo Labs, Evolve, Fibar Group, Fujikom, GreenWave Reality, Leviton, MiOS, Mitsumi, NorthQ, Poly-Control, Radio Thermostat, RCS Technology, Remotec, Schlage, Skyco, Somfy, Square Connect, Wintop, Yale, and Zonoff.
