eTAGZ Settles Patent Case with Primos

Companies mentioned in this article: eTAGZ, Inc.

SALT LAKE CITY -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- In January 2011, local technology innovator, eTAGZ, sued Primos, Inc, a Flora, Mississippi company that sells hunting-related products, for patent infringement. Primos denied the claims. In October 2011 eTAGZ amicably resolved its dispute with Primos to the parties’ mutual satisfaction. “Good corporate citizens like Primos are companies we’d much rather work with than litigate against,” said Isaac Jacobson, CEO of eTAGZ.

“eTAGZ is excited to push forward with its other strategic business relationships rather than maintain an adversarial one, which would only waste resources for both companies,” said Sean Reyes, eTAGZ General Counsel and candidate for Utah Attorney General in 2012.

eTAGZ, Inc. owns the patents to placing advertising or other content on digital media—in the form of CDs, DVDs, flash drives, etc.—attached to merchandise. eTAGZ engineers marketing strategies for major manufacturers, retailers, and multi-media outlets that combine entertaining and educational content designed to engage consumers with products resulting in added value, increased sales, and enhanced loyalty for the brands involved. www.etagz.com
