DefenseWeb Technologies, a premier custom software developer and systems integrator serving Defense Department (DoD) organizations, announced strong financial results for the 4th quarter of 2005, capping another record-breaking year. 2005 marks the 3rd year DefenseWeb has experienced 100 percent sales growth.
DefenseWeb CEO Douglas Burke said, "Our 4th quarter was a strong finish to a very successful year. Our contract win rate for the quarter was 100 percent, with continued delivery success in the Army, Air Force, and Navy branches of the military. Our recognized revenue for the year was up over 100 percent from 2004. Also in 2005, our efforts to forge new strategic business relationships paid off significantly, with more than 50 percent of our company's sales coming from or through a strategic partner. We now have 20 formal partners and enter 2006 with a commitment to build upon those partnerships and develop new ones."
DefenseWeb continued to expand significantly into the military health care sector during 2005, with nearly 20 percent of its business coming from this key vertical market. Burke stated: "In the coming year, we will be developing a new Health Care Department with a dedicated Program Manager to add to our success in this increasingly important sector."
DefenseWeb's achievements were recognized this year in the annual Book of Lists published by the San Diego Business Journal, which ranked the company #4 among San Diego's Web development and design firms and #17 among software companies.
To keep pace with its growth and maintain the company's dedication to customer service, DefenseWeb's staff grew 40% -- increasing from 35 to 60 employees -- during the year. The company also added a Vice President of Sales, a new Air Force Program Manager and a Navy-Marine Corps Program Manager.
