IRVING, Texas -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- MedSynergies Inc., the leading provider of hospital-physician alignment solutions, has announced key changes to its executive committee and client teams to support its ongoing growth.
Ellen Mahony, senior vice president of operations, and Jamie Dye, senior vice president of development, have been appointed to the executive committee. The announcement from J.R. Thomas, chief executive officer of MedSynergies, followed the recent naming of Frank Marshall as president of the company.
“Under Ellen’s leadership, MedSynergies increased its claim and posting volumes by more than 250 percent last year, while Jamie drove internal growth of $10 million from existing clients in 2011,” said Thomas. “Both of these executives have brought extensive and solid industry experience to their existing roles as senior vice presidents, which we know will continue to benefit our company as they serve on our executive committee.”
Mahony, who was senior vice president of operations for two years, and served previously as MedSynergies’ vice president of client services, has been a long-term contributor to the company in the operations area, which she will continue to manage. She joined MedSynergies after a long career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Dye came to MedSynergies in 2011 as senior vice president of account management, after more than 20 years at Perot Systems and Dell in the health care sector. He will lead a consolidated development group for MedSynergies that includes client management, sales, structured solutions and lead generation.
Five-year MedSynergies veteran Marian McMeans has also been promoted to senior vice president of the new structured solutions department within the development group. In this capacity, McMeans will work with Dye in sales, transaction design, implementation and transition activities. McMeans brings to her role a wealth of health care experience. Prior to joining MedSynergies as vice president of consulting services, she held various leadership positions at Perot Systems, First Consulting Group and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.
Also in development, Al Wilson has been named vice president of client management, and will continue managing MedSynergies’ strategic partnership with Texas Health Resources. Wilson has been with MedSynergies since 2005, and has a strong background in physician practice operations, financial management, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, process improvement and physician management.
Tim Dugger, a more than 20-year health care industry veteran, has been appointed to vice president of client delivery based on his work leading relationships with MedSynergies’ physician and practice clients. Prior to joining MedSynergies in 2002, Dugger was a sales executive for Computer Associates Inc. Previously, he was the regional accounts manager for WebMD Health Systems and was responsible for 450 practices supporting more than 2,000 physicians in 20 states.
Additionally, Aaron Garinger, who joined MedSynergies in 2011, has been promoted to vice president of Msight™ product management, as MedSynergies prepares to launch an MSO processing platform that compliments any practice management system and provides insightful analytics to drive patient market share and operational efficiency for employed and affiliated physicians.
