PEPPERELL, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- “With TZO’s “GEO Precision” and the adoption of edns-client-subnet by major recursive DNS and CDN providers, we can provide a far greater degree of accuracy for our customers using our TZO-GEO Geographic Load balancing services”, says Jeff Cronstrom, VP of Engineering at TZOlkin Corporation.
Typical geographic DNS offerings have no visibility as to the actual end point IP of the DNS request. The IP that gets used to determine the originating end point ends up being the IP address of the responding DNS name server not the actual IP end point. As such, the responding name server could be anywhere in the world, thereby rendering the accuracy of the geographic DNS ineffective or broken, a little known fact that other Geo DNS providers would rather not let out of the bag.
TZO has implemented, “GEO-Precision” with edns-client-subnet, aka client side IP. When TZO-GEO calculates the originating position of the requesting DNS end point we are doing so with the actual IP of the requesting end point, not the IP of the responding DNS name server. This makes TZO-GEO with “GEO-Precision” by far the most accurate geographic DNS service offering available today.
Cronstrom also states that, “Customers can fine tune their DNS settings to manipulate their geographic traffic patterns to an unmatched degree of control with our service based solution. This in combination with our VTM Service (Virtual Traffic Manager) we can provide a very powerful service to our customers that no other DNS provider is capable of delivering.”
