WebSideStory, Inc. (NASDAQ:WSSI) , a leading provider of on-demand digital marketing and customer analysis applications, today announced that it has added two new executives to its management team.
Ron Hegli, with more than 22 years of experience in leading engineering teams in the design and development of enterprise software, becomes the company's new vice president of engineering. In his new role, Hegli will be responsible for all software development and quality assurance. Between 1999 and 2004, Hegli served as vice president of engineering and chief architect at Websense, a global leader in web security and web filtering productivity software, where he was instrumental in developing the organization, processes and product architecture to support Websense's IPO in March 2000. He grew the engineering department from 20 to more than 100 people, delivering major revisions of Websense's flagship product to support its growth to more than $100 million in revenue. Prior to joining WebSideStory, Hegli served as the vice president of engineering at Akonix Systems. The author of two U.S. patents, Hegli has also worked in senior level positions at Nuera Communications and TriTeal Corporation. Hegli holds a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering from Oregon State University and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.

Shaun Lowry, with nearly six years of highly successfully sales experience in the web analytics industry, joins WebSideStory as vice president of sales for the Western U.S. Between 2002 and 2005, Lowry was the national account manager at Omniture, a hosted web analytics provider, where he consistently ranked as the top sales professional, closing deals with many of the company's biggest clients. Prior to that, Lowry was a territory manager at WebTrends, another web analytics provider, where he was part of one of the company's highest performing sales teams. Before coming to WebSideStory, Lowry was vice president of sales at Babcock & Jenkins, a direct marketing company.
