TUSTIN--- Toshiba Names General Manager; Lawrence Dentice Will Focus on Expanding Market Presence and Enhancing Customer Loyalty

Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. (TAMS) has named diagnostic imaging industry veteran, Lawrence Dentice, general manager, senior vice president and an officer of the company. Dentice has been Toshiba's vice president, sales, since he joined the company in 2002. Former general manager, Edwin Lodgek, has left the company.

"Larry Dentice has been a critical driving force behind Toshiba's recognition as a market leader in customer satisfaction, as reported by independent analyst organizations MD Buyline and KLAS Enterprises(a), and Toshiba's greater than 25 percent annual year-over-year growth," said Satoshi Tsunakawa, president. "We will rely on him to develop the strategies required to build on our success in CT with our industry-leading Aquilion(TM) multi-slice system and expand on the success of our other key modalities."

As general manager, Dentice will lead the full-line sales, marketing, service and business operations teams as well as the ultrasound business unit. He will focus on helping the company strengthen its presence in the U.S. market, expand its market share and improve profitability.
