San Diego-based DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc., a premier developer of customized enterprise software for Department of Defense (DoD) health care and quality of life organizations, has opened a new office in the Washington, DC area. The Skyline Campus, Virginia location allows the company to be closer to its growing roster of clients in the defense health community and will house DefenseWeb’s new Healthcare Department. The office will be run by three industry veterans – Nancy Adams, Scott Morris, and Denise Ciotti – each with over 20 years of experience in the technology and defense industries.
Nancy Adams, a Software Development and Systems Engineering Specialist, brings over 20 years experience with a variety of DC-area technology and healthcare firms, including a number that serve the Military Health System (MHS). Ms. Adams will manage the company’s new Healthcare Department, which will be tasked with expanding existing relationships with TMA East and RITPO, two organizations that develop and support crucial defense health systems for service members and their families. Ms. Adams will also manage her team’s active pursuit of new opportunities with the Departments of Health and Human Services and Veterans Affairs, critical expansion areas for the company.
Scott Morris is a senior business and technology professional with over 23 years of experience leading major business and technology initiatives in the public sector. Prior to joining DefenseWeb’s DC-area team, Mr. Morris served as a Vice President in SAIC’s Health Solutions Business Unit, where he directed projects serving the MHS across U.S., Latin America, and Europe. Mr. Morris also served as a Vice President at American Management Systems, where he oversaw the $300M Standard Procurement System project, a client/server application utilized by all DoD contracting officers to develop and manage contracts.
Denise Ciotti is a sales and management executive with 24 years of experience with both defense health organizations and corporations. Ms. Ciotti came to DefenseWeb after a stint as publisher of Veterans Health System Journals, a peer-reviewed medical journal for physicians and health providers of the Veterans Administration and DoD. Prior to her publishing experience, Ms. Ciotti served in a variety of management positions at Xerox, Pitney Bowes, and Staywell, a leading health education, promotion and health content publisher.
