Stratagene Corporation (NASDAQ:STGN), a developer, manufacturer and marketer of specialized life science research and diagnostics products, announced today that VWR International, Inc. will become a distributor of Stratagene’s full line of research products in Canada. The companies expect that customers will be able to access Stratagene products through VWR beginning in October 2006.

Under the terms of the agreement, Stratagene and VWR will service Canadian customers in an integrated manner. In addition to increasing Stratagene’s presence in the Canadian market with broader sales representation and customer relationships, VWR will inventory Stratagene products in warehouses located in Edmonton and Mississauga to provide Canadian customers with faster and more economical delivery. Stratagene will continue to support Canadian customers with direct sales representation and field applications support personnel in Canada as well as provide technical support and instrument service from its U.S. offices.
