The Allied Defense Group, Inc. (AMEX:ADG) announces the first delivery of Battlefield Effects Simulators to the United States Marine Corps Base at 29 Palms, California. Titan Dynamics Systems, one of two companies that make up Allied Defense's subsidiary, Allied Technology LLC, completed the delivery on September 28, 2006.

A total of 85 battlefield effects simulator launchers were delivered along with cartridge pyrotechnics to simulate the flash, noise and smoke of hostile fire on the battlefield as well as the flash, noise, and debris of a target that has been successfully engaged. Titan Dynamics personnel delivered the launchers and pyrotechnic munitions to the training range personnel, trained those range personnel in the safe operation of the simulator system, and conducted compatibility testing to verify that the delivered hardware will operate as intended. The 29 Palms site acceptance testing was successfully concluded on September 28, 2006.

This delivery to the U.S. Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force Training Command was conducted in accordance with a delivery order placed in September, 2005, with Titan Dynamics Systems under a contract managed by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulations, Training, and Instrumentation, Orlando, Florida. The delivery order is for a total of 167 battlefield effects simulator systems for the U.S. Marine Corps, and will include subsequent deliveries to Camp Lejeune, Camp Pendleton, Quantico, Okinawa, and Hawaii. Total value of this delivery order was just under $1 million.

The Army contract for production and procurement of battlefield effects systems is available to all military services to provide simulator hardware and a suite of battlefield effects at fixed prices for a five year period. This contract supports live training of military forces under the realistic conditions of battle. Realistic mission training is essential to maintaining military forces in the highest state of combat readiness.

Major General (Ret.) John J. Marcello, Chief Executive Officer and President of The Allied Defense Group said, "It's critical that our troops have the highest quality equipment to train with and we are proud to provide our Battlefield Effects Systems to support that mission. This first delivery of a top quality, safety enhancing, cost-reducing training tool is a significant step in assisting the U.S. Marine Corps to prepare its Marines for battle."
