SAN DIEGO--- AeA Celebrates Outstanding Achievement of San Diego Technology Companies With 14th Annual High Tech Awards

The San Diego chapter of the AeA, the nation's largest high-tech industry association, today announced the finalists for the 14th Annual AeA High Tech Awards. On October 19th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Hilton Torrey Pines in La Jolla, local technology companies will be recognized for their achievements in technological innovation, civic contributions and industry accomplishments.

This year marks the 14th anniversary of the San Diego High Tech Awards. More than 500 technology executives, including AeA members and non-members, will come together to acknowledge the successes of local technology companies from a diverse set of categories, including this year's new category focused on "Clean Tech." The Clean Technology category recognizes companies demonstrating services or solutions for the efficient use of natural resources and/or greatly reduces environmental impact. The Clean Technology award will be presented by Mayor Jerry Sanders.

"We received an overwhelming number of nominations for this year's awards program," said Kevin Carroll, AeA executive director. "Our finalists are a true reflection of the widespread influence technology has throughout the San Diego region. It is our mission with this year's awards to identify and honor those responsible for driving such technological advancement and innovation."

The finalists for this year's 2007 High Tech Awards are:

This year's finalists will be judged by a cross-section of local technology leaders. All winners will be announced at the High Tech Awards luncheon on October 19th.
