MONROVIA--- Telscape Communications Names New President and Chief Executive Officer

Telscape Communications announced Mirjana Cvjeticanin as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. She joined Telscape after serving as Vice President of Corporate Strategy of Nextel Communications, as well as Nextel’s General Manager and Area Vice President for Northern California.

“Mirjana was instrumental in growing Nextel into a leading mobile carrier by focusing on key performance metrics: ARPU, churn, and net gross ads,” said Tad Neeley, Chairman of Telscape Communications. “As Telscape expands its service offering into mobile communications and scales its operations to more effectively serve the growing Hispanic population in the United States, Mirjana brings world-class operating experience, strategic vision, and market leadership to Telscape,” added Neeley, “We are excited that she joined Telscape at such a pivotal moment in our growth trajectory.”

As a veteran of both the telecommunications and technology industry, Cvjeticanin brings a blended expertise, immigrant experience and determination for success to her stewardship of Telscape. Prior to Nextel, Cvjeticanin was Vice President, Western Division for Safeguard Business Systems Inc., and spent over 13 years at Xerox Corporation in a number of management positions. Cvjeticanin graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University.
