URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that the Company’s EG&G Division has been selected by the U.S. Air Force’s Air Education and Training Command (AETC) to support its Undergraduate Flight Training (UFT) program. The re-compete contract includes a one-year base period and five one-year options periods. The maximum value of the contract to URS is $267 million over the full six years.
Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide courseware development, simulator and academic instruction for the T-1, T-6, T-37 and T-38 aircraft, as well as combat systems officer training, in support of the UFT program.
