CLEVELAND -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Radisphere (www.radispheregroup.com), the largest and fastest-growing national radiology group in the United States, today announced that South Fulton Medical Center in East Point, Georgia has renewed its contract for exclusive radiology services through 2013. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
According to Anthony Davis, South Fulton’s Director of Radiology, “Radisphere is a radiology services leader focused on delivering high quality radiology services that enable its medical staff to best serve their patients. Its radiologists provide timely and accurate final reports around-the-clock. Along with the solid leadership of its onsite Medical Director of Radiology, William H. Wright, Jr., M.D., Radisphere is a partner that is clearly dedicated to South Fulton’s mission of providing quality healthcare in a caring environment.”
Radisphere continues to advance its innovative service technology with the recent release of its iPhone® application. South Fulton Medical Center utilizes the application for greater and faster access to reports and critical findings. Furthermore, its medical staff can instantly communicate with a Radisphere radiologist after reviewing a report or finding directly from within the application.
“I receive comprehensive final reports more quickly via the Radisphere iPhone Application than our EMR when I am with a patient and not near a PC,” said Michael Clark, PA-C, who works in South Fulton Medical Center’s Emergency Department. “Knowing the App is pushing new reports to me is a great time-saver. The Radisphere App is simple to use; the setup was quick and painless. I like that I can – with a touch of a button – instantly connect with a radiologist and start a consultation immediately. It helps me get the answers I need to make a quicker, more accurate diagnosis.”
South Fulton Medical Center is a 180-bed teaching hospital and accredited as a Joint Commission Advanced Primary Stroke Center. It has invested in some of the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies, including minimally invasive surgery and new services such as Interventional Cardiology and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It continues to receive high quality scores and rankings since its employees make patient safety a top priority every day. Beginning January 1, 2013, South Fulton will be consolidating with Atlanta Medical Center. Its new name will be Atlanta Medical Center – South Campus.
