PHT is the leading provider of innovative technology systems used to collect patient-driven eData for clinical research. PHT and its Global Technical Support function have grown significantly over the past year as demand for electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments Systems has increased.

Richard Reiter brings to PHT a 22-year track record for enhancing the customer experience. PHT’s eCOA solutions lay at the intersection of technology and healthcare, and require a customer support organization that is 100% focused on delivering end user satisfaction.

Richard said, “PHT’s technical support teams have great insight into best practices because they work with hundreds of pharmaceutical companies. We’re not just service providers – we strive to be trusted advisors. My goal is to continually improve PHT’s technical support procedures and mechanisms. We hire the best people and give them the training and tools they need to make our customers successful.”

Richard has an excellent reputation in the Boston area high tech industry. His former boss, Kevin Harris, founder of AmeriVault, said “Richard was brought into AmeriVault to take client satisfaction to the next level, and he did not disappoint. As a seasoned pro in managing technical support teams, he has an enormous skillset to train and lead any team to success. Whether it is dealing with an immediate, high priority situation, or long term project, Richard has the abilities to handle both simultaneously to their successful end.”

PHT President and CEO Philip Lee said, “Many companies in our industry outsource technical support but at PHT we keep this important function in-house. Being able to design, manage and constantly improve the quality of our technical support is a critical part of our offering and a strategic advantage. We hired Richard because of his reputation for building world class support organizations and his passion for customer satisfaction.”

Richard was previously the Director of Client Service/Technical Support at Venyu Solutions, and held key leadership positions in Technical Support at FastChannel Network, Wildfire Communications, Borland International, and FTP Software. He is a member of the First Wednesday Group, a support and service executive community, and of the Association of Support Professionals. He is an ISO 9001-2008 trained Auditor. Richard earned his BS in Human Nutrition and Food from Cornell University.

Richard trained as a classic chef and owned a restaurant in New York for 10 years before embarking on his high tech career. He explained that the leadership of Technical Support organizations and running a high end restaurant share many elements in common. “No matter how good the ingredients the key to running a successful enterprise is personalized service. You have to know each customer, know exactly what they need, and deliver a great experience so they want to come back for more.”
