MINNEAPOLIS -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Physician Wellness Services (PWS) will host free webinars for healthcare leaders on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 12 p.m. CST and Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 12 p.m. CST addressing organizational culture and its potential impact on physician engagement, retention and recruitment. The Jan. 16 session will be led by Liz Ferron, MS, LICSW, PWS senior consultant and manager of clinical services, and Dan Whitlock, M.D., PWS consulting physician. The Jan. 30 session will be led by Ferron and PWS consulting physician Robert Stark, M.D.
Both sessions will cover the findings of the recent PWS/Cejka Search organizational culture study, which found substantial gaps between physicians’ satisfaction and experience with 14 key cultural attributes in their healthcare organizations, and the companion study of hospital administrators, which found they consistently feel their organizations perform better with regard to cultural attributes than physicians think the organizations perform.
“At a time when physician engagement is critical in effectively addressing the changes impacting healthcare, we looked at an important factor physicians tell us is central to their sense of engagement: organizational culture,” said Dr. Whitlock. “Closing organizational culture gaps can have a strong positive impact for healthcare organizations seeking to promote physician satisfaction and loyalty. In these webinars, we will present the study findings, discuss the implications, explore solutions, and address questions.”
