PITTSBURGH & LUXEMBOURG -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Confluence, a leading provider of automated data management solutions for the investment management industry, announced today that Raphael Junker – a financial services professional with more than 25 years of experience in the international banking and investment management sectors – recently joined the company as a Global Sales Account Executive. As part of the growing team in Luxembourg, Junker will be responsible for expanding Confluence’s global market presence.

“Raphael’s extensive experience in helping financial services clients manage their reporting and application systems has made him a great addition to our team,” said Todd Moyer, Senior Vice President of Global Sales. “With his in-depth knowledge of the global fund accounting and administration industry, along with his fluency in several languages, he is well-positioned to help our global client base better leverage industry-leading technology to achieve their strategic objectives.” Moyer joined Confluence this past July to lead the company’s global sales strategy and to seek out international expansion opportunities.

Junker is the third executive to join Confluence’s growing global team in Luxembourg this year. The company also hired Melvin Jayawardana and Frédéric Simon, two Luxembourg-based financial industry veterans with in-depth knowledge of the European markets, earlier this year. Jayawardana leads global financial reporting product management for Confluence and Simon is a Global Sales Account Executive.

“I am very excited to join Confluence’s International team during this period of global expansion and growth for the company,” said Junker. “It’s becoming increasingly important for fund administrators to find solutions that will drive efficiency, while managing risk and increasing revenues. I look forward to working with the rest of the Confluence team to help clients achieve success in these goals.”

Junker previously served as the Vice President of Sales at SunGard Systems in Luxembourg, where he was responsible for the sales of a suite of investment management and compliance products, while also focusing on product sales in the private banking sector. Prior to joining SunGard Systems, Junker worked as a Project Manager at both Société Générale and Banque Générale.
