Jack Barry, CPA, has been named Virtual's Director of Financial Reporting. His responsibilities in this new position are to provide leadership in all aspects of Virtual's financial reporting for clients, and to develop and maintain appropriate methodologies that ensure data integrity and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Barry comes to Virtual from Burst Media, an online media and technology company in Burlington, Mass., where he most recently was Director of Accounting.
Irving Burday has joined Virtual as Vice President of IT Strategy. In this newly created role, Burday's responsibilities include overseeing the company’s strategic use of technology, working with management to optimize company operations through technological resources. Burday has held technology leadership roles for 15 years, most recently as President at Burday Consulting Associates, a provider of technology and operations consulting services to growing organizations. He has also served as the Chief Information Officer at several firms, including Savings Bank Life Insurance (SBLI) and Direct Capital.
Noah Xu has been hired as Virtual's Web Manager. In this position, Xu will spearhead the technical development and delivery of client web projects, leading efforts to delineate and manage project scope and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Prior to Virtual, he worked in online digital media development and management at WGBH, implementing innovative approaches to web streaming and smartphone apps, and at EDMC -- The New England Institute of Art.
