SOLANA BEACH, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- OneHealth™ Solutions, Inc., the leading behavior change company improving health outcomes and the cost of care management for patients, providers, payers and employers, announced an agreement with Cenpatico®, a managed behavioral healthcare company managing benefits for vulnerable and underserved populations, to market and implement the OneHealth program for its Wisconsin health plan. Cenpatico’s parent company, Centene®, is based in St. Louis, with health plan operations in 18 states.
The agreement enhances Cenpatico’s ability to leverage industry-leading behavioral change tools, and continues OneHealth’s expansion in the Medicaid market.
"We offer innovative services to our health plan members to help them lead healthier lives, and providing access to OneHealth furthers this objective," said Dr. Bernard Engelberg, National Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Cenpatico. “OneHealth’s peer-to-peer social networking platform will significantly extend the reach of our care team to improve health outcomes and provide a proven self-management tool in support of our rapidly growing membership.”
OneHealth is a private, secure, HIPAA-compliant online and mobile platform where members support each other emotionally and are motivated to attain meaningful behavioral change. The technology-enabled services offering utilizes gaming techniques coupled with the online influence of peers, family members and friends with similar conditions to empower members to achieve specific health goals.
The program includes access to peer health coaches, community managers, expert discussions, and live online meetings and group chats where members can learn and interact with guest experts to drive positive behavior change.
“Personal behavior is a significant underlying factor impacting healthcare and chronic disease, which can be positively influenced by peer interaction in OneHealth’s communities,” said Bruce Springer, CEO of OneHealth. “Our peer support program extends the reach of the clinician and treatment team while focusing on patient-driven behavioral change to help reduce the burden and cost of chronic conditions.”
Participating Cenpatico members can interact 24/7 with members in OneHealth’s behavioral health communities. It is anticipated that the services agreement will expand over time to include participation in OneHealth's complete Social Solutioning® platform, which provides support and communities for a wide range of chronic behavioral and medical conditions including depression, diabetes, stress reduction, asthma, obesity and caregiver/family support.
OneHealth has significant opportunity to expand with Cenpatico to serve its 17 additional health plan states, serving two million lives.
