SELEX Electronics Systems Integrates IntraStage’s World-Class Software to Gain Powerful Insights from Their Test Data

SAN DIEGO -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- IntraStage announces the release of a Case Study with SELEX Electronics Systems. SELEX Electronics Systems Ltd. chose IntraStage to provide Test Data Management, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Analytics software for their UK based R&D and manufacturing operations. SELEX has almost 7000 employees worldwide with revenues of $1.8 Billion and is a provider of land, sea, air, and space based electronics systems for the Mil-Aero industry.

For the past 3 years, IntraStage software has been used to improve manufacturing processes by automatically collecting test data from distributed Test Machines, centralizing them into a database and enabling rapid analysis through web based reporting engines. “It has proved invaluable in uncovering improvement opportunities in both our product design and our manufacturing processes,” says Alisdair Smith, Staff Engineer at SELEX. “Within 3 months of deployment we were able to minimize Manufacturing/Repair Touch Time and Defects Per Unit.”

As a result of these successes, IntraStage is now being rolled out to other areas of the business and the first step in this process was to organize and align on a common Test Data format.

The Case Study looks at SELEX’s experience around different Test Data Formats with a particular emphasis on the use of ATML (Automatic Test Markup Language) as a potential Test Data standard moving forward.
