CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- LearnLaunch today announced that 30 education technology/learning start-ups and growth-stage companies will provide investor overviews over approximately 60 minutes at this week’s “Across Boundaries: Innovation & The Future of Education” Conference co-sponsored with MIT Sloan.Ed, February 1-2, 2013, at the MIT Tang Center, Cambridge, MA (http://learnlaunchconference2013.eventbrite.com). More than 140 Ed Tech entrepreneurs and hundreds of educators, investors, channels professionals and students have registered to attend the sold-out event.
The Conference examines the potential impact of new usage models and innovations on student outcomes and learning/education access, and explores market and investment opportunities. The 30 featured start-ups are part of the 1,000 person-and-growing LearnLaunch community. LearnLaunch is a non-profit driving the growth of learning and education technology companies and the New England Ed Tech business cluster. Five start-ups and growth-stage companies will provide 5-minute presentations, and thirty will be profiled in an entertaining, informative 30-minute video highlighting their solutions and market needs. Experts are a part of knowledge communities in which they curate content, interact with their peers and provide consulting services at one central location.
Quadwrangle - a social platform for alumni relations that helps institutions establish, sustain and enhance connections with and among alumni across popular social networking platforms, keeping alumni deeply connected and engaged.
Socrative - a smart student response system that lets teachers engage their classrooms through interactive educational exercises and games via smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
Teachpoint - mobile teacher evaluation software that aids teachers and their districts in professional development by simplifying forms, customizations, data sharing and reporting.
The approximately 30 additional Ed Tech start-ups and growth-stage companies featured in the video provide attendees with “first look” insight into new generations of solutions now in development across New England, an emerging epicenter of Ed Tech excellence and innovation.
