StampedeCon 2013 Announces Call for Speakers

ST. LOUIS -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- StampedeCon, the first national Big Data conference series to take place in St. Louis, is preparing for its second annual conference by today announcing its 2013 Call for Speakers. The submission deadline is March 15, 2013. The conference will focus on connecting experts who are interested in understanding and leveraging Big Data and discussing what’s next in this developing field.

“Big Data tools and practices are quickly evolving to meet the needs of various industries. These changes are bringing increased business value and driving an increased demand for trained data scientists and systems engineers,” said Gary Stiehr, founder of StampedeCon. “The purpose of StampedeCon is to provide an educational platform that brings together the latest knowledge and use cases in Big Data at an affordable price.”

More than 200 people attended the inaugural year of StampedeCon. With thought leaders and technical experts from across 24 industries and 14 states, StampedeCon provided attendees with the inspiration, understanding and tools needed to harness the full potential of their data and data they've yet to collect.

StampedeCon 2013 is looking for presenters who:

• Have specific examples of how Big Data is impacting their field or profession.
• Are leading the adoption of Big Data technologies in their industry.
• Can share technical experiences leveraging emerging Big Data technologies tools to improve their business.
• Want to describe system architecture or other Big Data challenges they have overcome.

Presenters will be notified by April 12, 2013. StampedeCon will be July 30-31, 2013.
