SALT LAKE CITY -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Solera Networks, the industry’s leading Big Data Security Intelligence and Analytics provider, today announced it is participating in RSA Conference 2013 in San Francisco. During the conference, Solera Networks (Booth #2345) will undertake a series of activities highlighting the importance of security intelligence and analytics in providing the most comprehensive advanced threat protection for global enterprises and organizations. The featured Solera DeepSee™ technology includes big data security analytics, full network visibility and threat intelligence—critical components for detecting zero-day threats, uncovering malicious targeted attacks and answering critical post-breach questions.
New Groundbreaking Data Breach Research
RSA Conference
attendees can learn about new research conducted by the Ponemon
Institute and commissioned by Solera Networks that sheds new light on
breaches and post-breach behavior. Dr. Larry Ponemon, founder of the
Ponemon Institute, will discuss the research findings at Solera
Networks’ booth on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 1:30 p.m. PT. Solera Networks
will also highlight the importance of being able to answer critical
post-breach questions such as: ‘who hacked us?’, ‘how did they do it?’,
‘what data/systems were affected?’, ‘is it over?’ and ‘can we be sure it
won’t happen again?’.
Solera Networks will also be demonstrating new capabilities of Solera DeepSee, which helps organizations harness the power of big data security intelligence and analytics in a flexible software-based platform for easy implementation throughout the enterprise. DeepSee provides complete network visibility of advanced threats, malware and zero-day attacks.
Additionally, copies of the just published Big Data Security for Dummies will be available at the Solera Networks booth. This free book provides readers with insight into why traditional security defenses are not sufficient to combat today’s threats, and provides real-world use cases for big data security intelligence and analytics for advanced threat protection.
Solera Networks to Discuss the Future of Malware
Solera
Networks Director of Threat Research Andrew Brandt will be participating
in “50
Minutes Into the Future: Tomorrow’s Malware Threats,” an in-depth
look at emerging threats. This panel session is scheduled to take place
on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. in Room 304. Forrester Senior Analyst
Rick Holland will moderate the discussion, which will feature security
industry veterans Dave
Marcus, director and chief architect, Threat Research and
Intelligence, McAfee; Michael
Sutton, vice president of Security Research, Zscaler; and Jaime
Blasco, manager, Lab and Vulnerability Research Team, AlienVault.
The panel will explore emerging threats and where organizations will
need to focus their defensive efforts in the coming months and years.
“As organizations increasingly recognize the inevitability of successful attacks on the most fortified networks, network visibility and actionable threat intelligence become even more critical,” said Steve Shillingford, CEO, Solera Networks. “Targeted attacks are becoming more sophisticated and persistent, putting organizations under increasing pressure to provide up-to-the-minute answers. We look forward to the opportunity to share how big data security intelligence and analytics is re-shaping advanced threat protection at the world’s premiere forum on security.”
Solera Networks will also be hosting a DeepSee Blue Martini party on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 4:30 p.m. in Booth #2345 for all attendees, and is also co-sponsoring the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance PARTY FOR CHAMPIONS event on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at LuLu’s Restaurant in San Francisco (more information is available at http://www.vssmonitoring.com/events/McAfee2013.asp).
