Clarabridge Names New Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Human Resources

RESTON, Va. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Clarabridge, Inc., the leading provider of Customer Experience Management (CEM) powered through intelligent sentiment and text analytics, today announced that it has appointed Bas Brukx as Chief Financial Officer and Emily Markmann as Vice President of Human Resources. The seasoned industry veterans have long-standing records of developing and leading financial and human resources strategies and initiatives for fast-growing technology companies. Coming off an extraordinary year of more than 60 percent growth, Clarabridge has expanded its stellar management team to help the company reach its continuing high-growth goals into the future.

In his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Brukx brings more than 17 years of experience in financial, strategic, and operational planning for fast-growing technology companies. Prior to Clarabridge, Brukx was Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Vocus. During his tenure at the company, Brukx was instrumental in helping it grow to more than $200 million in annualized sales and 1,200 employees, obtain several rounds of funding, complete a successful initial public offering, and close 10 acquisitions. He has also held financial management positions at Nexchange, WorldPort Communications, and MCI Worldcom.

As Vice President of Human Resources, Markmann will provide strategic leadership through the development, implementation, and management of human resource (HR) initiatives, including talent acquisition, employee support, competitive compensation and benefits programs, and performance management. With 15 years of experience in HR leadership roles, Markmann was previously the Vice President of Human Resources and Business Partners for the Health Solutions division of General Dynamics Information Technology, where she oversaw HR support for more than 7,000 employees.
