SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Today YesVideo, a leading cloud platform for video memories, announced that CEO Michael Chang will present at the 2013 Montgomery Technology Conference in Santa Monica on Thursday, March 7.

Recognized as one of the premier technology conferences in the country, the Montgomery Technology Conference is an invitation-only event that features presentations from over 150 of the finest emerging growth private companies in the technology and media sectors. It will be held March 6-7 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica, California.

Chang will speak about the great opportunities and challenges that come with video memories – e.g., demand for cloud storage, how connected TV can be used for viewing, and the huge market opportunity. His session is slated for Thursday, March 7th at 8:30am.

“I’m looking forward to speaking with industry leaders about emerging trends that we’re seeing in our respective technology fields,” said YesVideo CEO Michael Chang. “At YesVideo, we’re dedicated to bringing the best in technology to the world of video memories, and our session will look at how we serve millions of customers each year and meet the clear demand for video digitization and, perhaps more importantly, cloud storage and the family social network.”

YesVideo will also share milestones and projections for the industry:

  • An estimated 1.5 billion vintage videos remain un-digitized in the U.S. alone, representing a market opportunity of $15-20 billion.
  • With increasing availability in retail stores and online, vintage video transfer and storage emerged as a $130 million industry in 2012, and is expected to grow to $400 million by 2016.
  • YesVideo has 42% market share.
  • YesVideo has digitized over 10 million videos, and is storing over 3 petabytes of personal video data every 90-days
  • YesVideo and its retail partners saw $55 million in revenue in 2012
  • An average YesVideo customer transfers about 3 hours of video memories and spends 44 minutes per viewing session.
