BURNABY , BC--(Marketwire - March 12, 2013) - Preparing for its commercial launch later this year, Cooledge has named Dr. C. Wade Sheen as Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Sheen joined Cooledge in 2010 as General Manager, bringing more than 18 years of experience to his role.

Prior to joining Cooledge, Dr. Sheen was Vice President and General Manager, LED Products at AmberWave Systems (acquired by Micron Technology). Dr. Sheen has extensive experience in semiconductor materials and processing, product development, business development, marketing and sales. Sheen earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and his PhD in Materials Science from The Pennsylvania State University. He is author of numerous scientific articles and holds seven patents for Flat Panel, Semiconductor and LED materials, processing and design.

Light sheet runs so efficiently and cool that no additional heat sink or secondary thermal extraction is required. The Cooledge light sheet comes in various sizes: with widths from 1" (28mm) to 11" (280mm) and lengths up to 8' (2.4m).
