SAN FRANCISCO -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- “WideOrbit is focused on growing our solutions and client base for cable networks, and I’m thrilled that we have an industry veteran like Ashley leading the team,” said Eric R. Mathewson, Founder and CEO of WideOrbit. “In addition to Ashley, we’ve brought on a number of new team members with extensive experience in the cable and broadcast industries to ensure that we are able to deliver these customers the kind of superior products and customer service that we’re known for throughout the media industry.”

WO Network has been a tremendously successful product launch for WideOrbit, with more than $40MM in orders in the first production year of the product.

WO Network software, which is being adopted by some of the biggest cable networks in the country, combines an ad sales suite with WideOrbit’s industry-leading traffic, billing and program management system, for a single-source solution designed specifically for cable networks. WideOrbit clients benefit from reduced cost of ownership, a consistent user experience and real-time view across departments and functions, and consolidated, comprehensive reporting. WO Network also simplifies workflow and reduces redundancies by eliminating double entry of reference data, formats, deals and other critical data.

Prior to WideOrbit, Ashley spent ten years at Invision where he managed the Client Services department responsible for implementations, account management, training and support. Before Invision, Ashley spend 13 years at Group W and CBS managing the group responsible for the development and support of their in-house sales and traffic systems for the CBS Owned & Operated stations.

“I’ve spent the past 25 years in the broadcast industry and have watched as WideOrbit brought several products to market that truly satisfy the unique and complex business needs of the media and advertising communities,” said Barretto.  “I’m looking forward to introducing major cable networks to WideOrbit and helping them realize new operational efficiencies and revenue generating opportunities that our end-to-end solution can bring to their business.”
