LEXINGTON, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Ipswitch, Inc.'s Network Management Division, developer of the WhatsUp Gold suite of innovative IT management software, is pleased to announce that Namtek Corp. has received the WhatsUp Gold 2012 Federal Partner of the Year Award.

Namtek is an IT security system integrator and has been an Ipswitch partner since 2005. In 2012, Namtek grew Ipswitch revenues 1000% over 2011 and booked the largest single WhatsUp Gold deal since 2009. A sampling of Namtek and Ipswitch joint federal customers include the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), U.S. Army, General Dynamics C4 Systems, Department of State, Smithsonian Institute, Department of Defense, Department of Justice, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Marine Corp. As a result of their success in the federal sector, Namtek launched a commercial division two years ago and the company expects to double both their Ipswitch and total company revenue in 2013.

Namtek defines itself within the IT value-added reseller (VAR) space as a company with two objectives: keeping their current and future end user customers informed about the purpose-built tools and solutions that can solve complex business problems and using those customer conversations and opportunities to strengthen and enhance their relationships with their partners.

Patrick Loring, Ipswitch Network Management Division Vice President of North America Sales comments, “Namtek’s success is the result of their corporate focus on building relationships with both their end users and partners like us. They are a company that clearly articulates their value and their ability to deliver information about their tools and services. At the same time, they are proactive in bringing end-user feedback to Ipswitch to help us deliver the right products and then sell those products to their end-users. I congratulate Namtek on their success and am proud to name them WhatsUp Gold Federal Partner of the Year.”

Comments Keith Turgeon, Namtek President, “A successful relationship with a partner is not a one-way street. Partners have to be agreeable and willing to modify business practices to accommodate changing market conditions and the customers that the VARs work with every day. We find that Ipswitch has been very flexible in working with the VAR community. Likewise, we believe our success is attributed to our ability to collaborate with the Ipswitch sales and marketing teams, and collectively deliver budget-conscience solutions to both the public and private sectors. I thank Ipswitch for their easy-to-work-with style and for naming Namtek Federal Partner of the Year.”

In preparing for 2013 business, Turgeon also commented about the new WhatsUp Gold v16.1 which features Application Performance Monitor. “Everything that is happening in the technology space is all about applications. Ipswitch has developed a purpose-built tool that enables network operators to quickly identify the application performance issues as well as identify what unauthorized applications are running over the network – and do so in an easy-to-use and simple way. That’s WhatsUp Gold – making the complicated, simple.”
