McManus is an award-winning member of the faculty at the School of Management at Boston University as Executive in Residence/Lecturer in the Strategy & Innovation Department focusing on industry disruption, business model innovation, emergent strategy development and global new venture formation.
In addition, McManus is Executive Director of the Green Economy Initiative at the School of Management, a multi-stakeholder public/private/academic partnership creating a research, education and innovation platform focused on solving the great economic, social and environmental challenges of our time.
In his global consulting work, McManus advises Government Ministries/Agencies, Economic Development and other Non-Governmental Organizations, Academic Institutions and Multinational Corporations on innovative partnering strategies, ecosystem/cluster development and new venture initiatives. McManus also works with individual entrepreneurs and investors on a limited basis.
Prior to joining the faculty at Boston University full time in 2006, McManus was a Venture Partner with Boston Millennia Partners, a $740M venture capital fund with international investments in early-stage technology ventures in the life sciences, healthcare, medical device, information technology and telecommunications industries.
