IRVINE--- Marc Loupe Appointed CFO of Sage Software, Greg Hammermaster Appointed President of Payment Solutions Division

Sage Software, the North American business of the Sage Group, plc (LSE: SGE), announced today that Marc Loupe has been appointed CFO of the company, and Greg Hammermaster has been appointed president of the company's Payment Solutions Division.

Mr. Loupe was appointed to the CFO position in June 2008 with responsibility for all aspects of finance across the company. Mr. Loupe has held a number of significant finance positions over the course of his career. Mr. Loupe began his career at Deloitte and Touche where he qualified as a CPA. He went on to hold several senior financial roles in the corporate sector, including 18 years with Sun Microsystems, Inc., culminating in the position of senior vice president, finance for the company's technology products. He was later recruited by CA (formerly Computer Associates), Inc. to head up the audit department to assist the company's compliance to certain mandates from the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. His most recent position was senior vice president, finance with XOJET, Inc, a leading provider of global business aviation services.

Mr. Hammermaster will be responsible for executive management of all of Sage Software's North American payment solutions business, including its credit card operations based in Virginia and its check operations based in Florida.

Mr. Hammermaster comes to Sage from SunTrust Banks where he was senior vice president of commercial card and payment services in the Treasury and Payment Solutions Division. His responsibilities have included sales, business development, direction of the vision and execution for commercial card practices, and developing strategic partnerships. Mr. Hammermaster has also had experience with a number of online businesses and with Visa International, the world's largest card network, where he worked with banks in the areas of online merchant services, debit, credit, and payment solutions, and was instrumental in delivering Visa's first corporate and purchasing card program.
