LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Symwave, Inc., a semiconductor supplier of high-performance analog/mixed-signal connectivity solutions for the PC, consumer and mobile devices, today announced the addition of Vahid Manian to the Company’s Technical Advisory Board (TAB). Symwave’s TAB members include Dr. Kevin Kettler – Dell’s CTO, Mr. Brian Chubboy – Best Buy Senior Manager, and Mr. Gil Frostig – Intel’s Vice President. The recently formed TAB now benefits Symwave with over 100 years of combined technical and management experience, with top-tier executives across the industry.

Vahid Manian brings to Symwave 25 years of experience and is considered by many the most accomplished Operations executive in the entire semiconductor industry. Mr. Manian was the first Operations Manager at Broadcom (NASDAQ:BRCM), and for 13 years, he built and managed the Global Manufacturing Operations organization. During his tenure at Broadcom, he developed and perfected the fabless semiconductor model, and grew Broadcom’s annual revenue to greater than $4 billion. Prior to joining Broadcom, Mr. Manian spent 12 years at Silicon Systems, Inc., a mixed-signal semiconductor manufacturer, the last 6 years serving as Director of Operations. At Silicon Systems he led the implementation, production ramp and qualification of advanced PRML-read channel integrated circuits, used by the leading Hard Disk Drive (HDD) manufacturers.

“It is my absolute pleasure to again work with Vahid, and it’s a huge gain for Symwave,” said Yossi Cohen, President and CEO of Symwave. “During our 10 years of working together at Broadcom, I enjoyed his friendship and admired his leadership as a colleague. In addition to his operations expertise, Vahid demonstrated excellent customer insights, technical competence, powerful strategic thinking and the highest level of business judgment. His addition to our TAB will not only help Symwave execute on our current USB 3.0 strategy, but also reach new heights as a mixed-signal semiconductor enterprise.”

“Symwave has been able to assimilate an impressive collection of proven executives,” said Vahid Manian. “I am honored to join this team and look forward to achieving great success together again. Being an entrepreneur at heart, Symwave represents a perfect match for my abilities and business experience and I look forward to contributing to this energetic, up and coming company.
