SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va.--- SAIC Awarded $85 Million Contract by the Library of Congress

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE:SAI) today announced it has been awarded a prime contract by the Library of Congress (LOC) to provide Information Technology (IT) services for its Customer Support Services program. The single-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a one year base period of performance, four one-year options and a total maximum contract value of $85 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in the National Capital Region.

The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. Under the contract, SAIC will provide IT services as required to the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in its collections. Services will include developing solutions to technology and centralization challenges, conducting technology assessments, and performing load and other types of testing. SAIC will also develop change management processes, methodologies to support web/computer systems, and common computing environment system and subsystem requirements.
