FREMONT, Calif., Aug. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Power Corporation (NYSE Amex: DPW) today announced its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013.
Digital Power's revenues for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013 were $2,227,000, a decrease of 32% from revenue of $2,942,000 for the same quarter ended June 30, 2012. Net loss for the quarter ended on June 30, 2013 was $125,000 a decrease of 482% from the profit of $478,000 in the quarter ended on June 30, 2012. Gross margin in the second quarter ended March 30, 2013 was 40%, a decrease from 43% reported in June 30, 2012. Lastly, operating loss for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013 was $120,000, a decrease of 493% for the same quarter ended June 30, 2012.
Commenting on the results, President and CEO, Amos Kohn, stated: "We experienced an improvement in revenue in our results from the prior quarter and continue to strategic plan to further develop our domestic product portfolio. Our European operations continued their improvement also from the prior quarter primarily from the defense industry."
