RACINE, Wis., Aug. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- As a part of their commitment to the support of local nonprofits, CCB, Inc. held its semi-annual 5-day Community Support drive.
The end result of the donation drive was phenominal. CCB employees collected over 1,000 items of clothing, food and personal care items to be donated to Safe Haven, a Racine based nonprofit organization that provides safe living environments, crisis support, and community intervention for youth and families in need.
Established in 1971, Safe Haven's Youth Shelter provides for basic needs, such as food, clothing and shelter, while assisting with overcoming boundaries in education, self-esteem, employment, problem-solving and life skills for ages 10-17.
Pamala Handrow, Director of SAFE Haven, thanked CCB for their support. "It is exciting to have our community care and think about us in this way. It's like Christmas when we get donations like this. It guarantees that we can continue to provide our supportive services to Racine youths and their families."
"I couldn't be more proud of the CCB family for making a difference in the lives of others," said CCB President, Patrick Booth. "CCB's mission is to serve those that serve others and we believe this type of commitment has a profound impact on the way we live and work."
