WOBURN, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Culbert Healthcare Solutions, a professional services firm that serves healthcare organizations across the country, announced today that Johanna Epstein has been named Vice President of Strategy and Executive Leadership Services.
In today’s rapidly changing healthcare landscape, providers are turning to third party consultants for expert counsel around issues such as physician-hospital alignment, accountable care and Meaningful Use. Culbert’s comprehensive portfolio of strategy and executive leadership services helps hospitals and physician practices manage personnel changes, develop new governance structures, launch strategic planning initiatives and implement clinical integration models.
Culbert works with these organizations in a tightly integrated manner to help improve the overall quality of patient care. For example, the consulting firm worked with a Midwest community hospital system to implement a clinical integration model as part of an initiative to create a strategic alignment with a large national health system, allowing it to better prepare for developing an accountable care organization (ACO).
“Epstein’s extensive leadership experience in healthcare administration and operations makes her a valuable addition to our team,” said Rob Culbert, president and CEO of Culbert. “With her on board, we are well-positioned to strengthen our strategy and executive leadership services so we can provide our customers with the tools they need to create solid organizational foundations and incorporate the right policies and programs for succeeding in today’s changing healthcare industry.”
Epstein has worked in the healthcare provider setting for nearly 20 years and previously served as the administrative director of ambulatory operations at the Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine. There she managed all day-to-day operations of the practice and led process improvement initiatives, business systems implementations and more. Additionally, she has held executive and director positions at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the Fallon Clinic/St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass.
“I look forward to working with the team at Culbert as we help providers create strong, influential partnerships across organizations, streamline decision-making processes and operational efficiencies, and improve overall care delivery,” said Epstein. “With Culbert’s recent growth and success, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of one of the leading companies in the healthcare consulting space.”
