CHICAGO -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Leading business and technology consulting services provider HBR Consulting LLC (www.hbrconsulting.com) announced Nicholas G. Quil has been promoted to the newly created position of President. CEO Chris Petrini-Poli will continue to serve in his current role. Quil was one of the founding members of HBR Consulting and served as Managing Director of HBR’s Global Strategic Sourcing and Business Operations (SSBO) practice.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Nick’s caliber on the executive management team,” said Petrini-Poli. “With this team in place, HBR is well-positioned to continue our growth as we expand our consulting services and technology offerings to clients across our practice groups. Nick will work with me and our leadership team to develop and implement our strategic direction. He has a lot of ideas that I’d like to see put into action over the next 12 months.”
Quil will oversee HBR’s practice groups: SSBO, Information Technology Services, and Law Department Consulting. He will initially lead the firm’s business planning process, as well as talent management initiatives. He also will work with Petrini-Poli and the management leadership to drive company growth, increase the alignment of the practice groups and advance the culture of HBR. The creation of the role of President allows Petrini-Poli to shift his focus from the business units to overseeing company-wide strategy, client development and growth.
“I am honored and excited to take on this new challenge,” Quil said. “We have tremendous opportunities in the market for our services, particularly as we expand our traditional consulting services to include more analytics, and offerings in the areas of managed services and business operations. I am fortunate to be working with a team of talented individuals, whose ongoing conversations with clients are directly leading to new innovative solutions to help firms remain competitive in today’s challenging and evolving marketplace.”
As head of HBR’s SSBO group, Quil led the expansion of this practice and the development of a number of long-term client relationships. He pioneered the creation of a centralized analytics team, and he led the creation of the SpendConnect platform focused on spend analysis, contract management and budgeting capabilities. Throughout his career, Quil has led engagements for multinational professional services firms and financial institutions doing business throughout North America, Europe and Asia. His work has spanned strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, and process improvement in industries including financial services and banking, healthcare, and technology.
Prior to joining HBR Consulting, Quil served as a leader of the Strategic Sourcing practices at Hildebrandt Baker-Robbins and Huron Consulting Group. Prior to Huron, he was with Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice.
Quil received his B.S. degree from the University of Miami, and he serves on the Miami University Accounting Advisory Group. He has presented on such topics as "New Frontiers of Profitability for Law Firms" and "Cutting Costs: An Intelligent Procurement Process" among others.
