TRUMBULL, Conn. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- New this year, Content and Communications World (CCW), is proud to announce the expansion of offerings for streaming media to its 2013 conference taking place November 13-14. In addition to its world-class panel discussions (“Super Sessions”) for full conference attendees, CCW will host more than 50 sessions for all attendees taking place across three theaters in the exhibit hall. Each theater features an informative collection of complimentary 30-minute talks on issues important to the industry.
Among these new offerings is the Streaming Media Theater with talks that are dedicated to the streaming media industry. Topics include the latest advances in second screen, such as multi-platform content creation, mobile and OTT delivery, as well as regulations and consumer demands.
Attendees will continue to have access to the compelling general sessions that are unique to CCW. Led by influential leaders within the industry this year’s line-up includes a tutorial on next generation compression technology and expert commentary on predicting the impact of emerging technology on the world of digital media. CCW Super Sessions build on these educational opportunities, providing in-depth and informative looks at issues such as the transition to multi-platform television and secrets to becoming a web broadcast mogul.
“CCW Expo is a great opportunity to meet with content creators from many disciplines and industries. We all share one thing in common, storytelling,” said Neal Coffey, Production Manager and Instructor, Syracuse University. “I look forward to sharing my experiences of how we create content at Syracuse University for MOOCs and online courses. The technology expo at CCW is also a great chance to see the latest tools for creating, managing, and distributing content.”
With thousands of exhibitors and attendees under one roof, CCW offers a platform to explore new technologies, best practices and innovative tools professionals can utilize to advance their professional interests and the industry as a whole. Helping to accomplish these objectives is an impressive line-up of expert from the industry. Theater session speakers include Matt Schwarz, Senior Manager of Content + Community, Vimeo, Josh Apter, President and Founder of Manhattan Edit Workshop and Paul Catterson, Senior Director of Broadcast and Production Operations at West Works Studios.
”CCW has always been a place for exhibitors and attendees to discuss the latest innovative technology surrounding the media and entertainment production, post and distribution industry,” said Michael Driscoll, CCW Event Director. “With this year’s addition of the Streaming Media Theater, we’re providing even more unique opportunities for professionals to meet, discuss and learn. We’re proud to have the most compelling mix of exhibitors, speakers, technology and content to engage the audience at this year’s event.”
In addition to Streaming Media, CCW attendees have complete, free access to two other theaters, the Production + Post theater and the Broadcast and Beyond theater. 2013 CCW attendees can access over 50 total sessions (full conference attendees may also attend eight Super Sessions), over 300 exhibits and unmatched networking opportunity with an expected audience of more than 6,000.
