ATLANTA -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world’s largest user knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, welcomes three new and four reelected members to its 2014 board of directors.
The new board members are Karen Brownfield, Oracle practice director at Infosemantics; Daniel McGarry, vice president of application services at Parsons Brinckerhoff; and Ketan Thanki, director of enterprise applications at Geokinetics.
Brownfield has more than 35 years of experience programming, installing and managing applications used in various industries, and during the past 22 years she has focused on Oracle Applications specializing in project management, financials, workflow, Property Manager and BI Publisher. She is a certified Oracle E-Business Suite GL/AP and Oracle Fusion GL implementer. Brownfield has made extensive contributions to the OAUG, serving various leadership roles in OAUG committees and SIGs since 1994.
McGarry has extensive knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite financial and project accounting modules, Oracle CRM On Demand and Oracle User Productivity Kit. A 12-year employee of Parsons Brinckerhoff, McGarry assists public and private clients to plan, develop, design, construct, operate and maintain hundreds of critical infrastructure projects around the world. Oversight areas include managing ERP landscape and strategy, identifying key technology and operational drivers, recommending software solutions and working with internal customers to envision future technology needs.
An OAUG member since 2000, Thanki has been a coordinator of the Procurement SIG since August 2009, a past member of the Oracle Usability Advisory Board for two years and a staunch advocate of the OAUG. At Geokinetics, he has been instrumental in stabilizing the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 environment by upgrading it to version 12.1.3. Thanki also has oversight into Business Intelligence applications and has deployed an ad-hoc reporting tool to enable the business to analyze data directly from Oracle E-Business Suite.
OAUG board members reelected for 2014 are Dr. Patricia Dues, portfolio and applications manager at the City of Las Vegas; Melissa English, global training manager at Alticor, Inc.; Tammy Norton, managing director at Alvarez & Marsal; and Margaret Wright, IT manager at Southern Company Services. Board members completing their elected terms in 2014 are Danica Bartolf, CH2M Hill Corporation; Mark Clark, O2Works; Peter Gee, Ryerson University; Joseph Imbimbo, PPG Industries, Inc.; Alyssa Johnson, ROLTA; Donna Rosentrater, Cobham PLC; and Rob Tudor, LifeWay Christian Resources. OAUG members elect representatives to the OAUG Board of Directors from a slate of current, active members.
